Body
styles include, a Vodafone Mercedes CLK-DTM sedan, an AMG Mercedes CLK-DTM sedan,
Subarus 2003 WRC team car, Mercedes-Benz SLR, Audi A4 Dtm series, and the
newest additions are the Ford GT and Mustang GTR. All feature licensed sponsor
decals that have been applied at the factory, scale racing wings, side view mirrors
and even air scoops where appropriate. All models also share
the same chassis, which features an independent front suspension, T-bar rear suspension,
factory set camber and caster, and a bevel gear differential. The chassis rolls
on scale-looking wheels and treaded tires complete with manufacturer logos. Perhaps
the biggest feature, though, is the ability to adjust wheelbase and width to accommodate
bodies from other 1/14 Carisma cars. This not only allows beginners to try different
body styles, but gives them a taste of the kind of tuning options a hobby-quality
R/C Car offers. The electronics are hobby-quality as well.
Each car comes equipped with a 27MHz proportional radio system, an electronic
speed control with reverse and a rechargeable battery pack with AC wall charger.
Carisma has even thought to include 8 AA batteries for the pistol-grip
transmitter, so theres literally nothing left to do but charge the battery
pack and go. |
