 FAQ's
  • How much does it cost?
    • Racing at RC TECH is only $10
  • What time should I get there, and how long do the races last?
    • We suggest you arrive at 8:00pm, usually we are finished racing by 11:30pm
  • What should I bring with me?
    • Extension cords, a work table, tools, some people find it useful to bring a small lamp as well
  • What about power?
    • AC power is supplied
  • I just want to watch...
    • Great! Everybody is welcome to watch and watching is free!!!
  • How many times do I get to race each night?
    • There is a minumum of 3 races for each class. Two qualifying races (heats) to establish the starting grid, and 1 Main Race.
  • What if I can't make it to all the race nights?
    • You don't have to race all of the races, however if you want to compete for prizes and/or awards you will have to participate in 7 of the 8 race nights to qualify
  • What is a series?
    • RC TECH uses a race series system for deciding points and winners. We usually have an 8 race night, race series. Each race night is 1 race out of the 8 total races. There is 1 throw out race - meaning your lowest score will be deducted from your total at the end of the series.
  • How does your scoring system work?
    • 1st place gets 100 points, 2nd place 99 pts, 3rd place 98 pts, etc. There is also 1 additional point for TQ'ing (Top qualifier or fastest qualifying lap times) in each class.
  • I am not sure if I am ready to race!
    • We have a novice class for new racers, we suggest if you have never raced or if you are unsure of your skill level, this is the class to start with. You can always move up to sportsman or expert class as your skills progress.
  • I want to race a different type of car!
    • The classes we offer are the most popular. If you have another type of car and you want to participate in Tuesdat Night Racing, you will need 5 other racers for us to create a new class for you.
  • Racing seems pretty intense!
    • True, racing can be intense, you are competing against your fellow R/C'ers. However, most drivers will be willing to help and offer tuning ticlasses?ps. If you have any questions you can also ask our staff.
  • Where are the Nitro classes?
    • Unfortunately, we do not race Nitro cars. Our neighbors wouldn't e very appreciative of us running Nitro cars until 11:00pm!

Just have fun! Isn't that why you got an R/C Car?
